Patience is the best advice. Follow the directions. Small parts are difficult to maneuver but the end result is rad. It was relaxing after the cussing and swearing. Came out great in the end.
Having put together several miniature kits previously, this one was just ok. My biggest annoyance was punching the wood pieces out. Inevitably, slivers would come off the punched pieces, leaving a flaw on the usable portion. Most could be hidden but not all. These are also tabbed assembly so they don't require glue but I prefer to use glue. On several small pieces, I could not glue them together and worry they may come apart later. The wiring was easy but with only one light, it doesn't illuminate as well as other kits with multiple lights. Overall, this seems to be a decent “beginner” kit to try, as it uses a lot of stickers, precut pieces, and plastic accessories.
This is the 3rd one I've done, and I'm impressed with how well they go together. Every part pretty much fits exactly. This one had the wiring to the light already done, so I only had to attach it to the batteries. The previous ones had to be wired to the light, and that was almost above my pay grade!
